Celebrate an Old Fashioned Christmas at the Grand Illumination on Charleston Real Estate

At Middleton Place, one of the most loved events over the holiday season is the Grand Illumination. From the 14th of December through the 16th, guests can join the trained actors in period costumes as they travel back through time to celebrate the Christmas of 1782. They will see the celebration of Arthur Middleton returning to his Charleston home from Philadelphia and the British troops departing from Charleston, as well as the end of the Revolutionary War in the South. As the event comes to a close, guests will feast in a lovely pavilion tent on early American cuisine with specialty cocktails from the colonial period. The traditional buffet and torchlit gardens will draw visitors back to a time of beauty and grace when gentlemen and ladies roamed this historic piece of Charleston real estate. `The Grand Illumination’s dramatic presentations and scenes in the warmth of the fires will make this event a deeply memorable part of guests’ holiday traditions.

Those who are interested in adding this dramatized celebration to their holiday season festivities are encouraged to buy their tickets early. Admission for children from 6 years old through the age of 13 is only $20 while adults pay $59, and anyone who wants to learn more can call 843-556-6020.
