Go to Bark in the Park near your Charleston home.Get your beloved canine companions out of your Charleston home and off to an afternoon of fun and excitement at Bark in the Park. This event will take place on Saturday, September 23rd from noon to 4 p.m. at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park. Admission is $5 per person, with Gold Pass members and children 12 and under being free. Please do not bring outside alcohol or coolers, and keep pets leashed when not in the dog park. Dress up your pooch and enter your pet in a variety of contests, and take part in the pet parade. Lure chasing will also be available all day for your dog to enjoy. Relax with a cold beer and some tasty food while listening to live music played by Sunflowers and Sin. This female duo will get your feet tapping and take you on a journey with their unique songs and instrumental melodies. Enjoy their sweet voices while spending time with your sweet furry friend.

North Charleston Wannamaker County Park is a true gem available to those who call Charleston home. This park was designed to be a place to enjoy nature and includes many miles of paved trails to explore the 1,015 acres of woodlands and wetlands. Other amenities include two playgrounds, nearly eight acres of open grass space, and a nine hole disc golf course. Discs can be rented at the park office. When the weather gets hot, there is a water play area for the children. Kids also love going on the large play hill and staying for a picnic. Visitors also take advantage of the snack bar, restrooms, and good sized patio. A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available as well.
